President Trump Taking Bold Action at the Border

Phoenix, AZ- In just one week, President Trump has taken more action to secure the U.S. border than the entire four years of the Biden-Harris Administration. After unprecedented numbers of illegal border crossings and minimal policy changes from the prior administration, President Trump and leaders in Washington D.C. are addressing the border crisis seriously.

“For decades, the communities along the border and local law enforcement have been sounding the alarm about the large-scale illegal border crossings that are impacting local resources and the safety of residents,” said Jobe Dickinson, President of the Border Security Alliance. “The prior administration took zero action until their reelection prospects were under threat. President Trump has proven that his concerns about the Southern Border was not lip service; the multiple executive orders he has signed, in addition to the deportation of criminal and violent illegal immigrations, is already resulting in less border crossings. The criminal cartel activity occurring along the Southern Border, including the smuggling of drugs, people, and counterfeit goods, is the result of the failed border policies of the past. We commend President Trump for his zero-tolerance approach and look forward to continuing to educate our local and federal leaders about common sense solutions to secure the border.”

In one week, President Trump signed the following Executive Orders which led to a 35% drop in southern border encounters in the first three days of the Trump Administration compared to the final three days of the Biden Administration:

In addition to these Executive Orders, the soon to be signed Laken Riley Act, which received bipartisan support by Congress, will require the detention of unauthorized immigrants accused of theft and violent crimes.
